UQU College of Medicine Organizes the Thirteenth Internship Course

Qassim University, represented by the College of Medicine, concluded yesterday, Sunday, February 15, 2026, the thirteenth internship course. The course included over 18 specialized workshops, in addition to a accompanying exhibition featuring 9 booths from several entities related to the intern doctor's path after graduation. The event was attended by His Excellency the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fahd bin Sulaiman Al-Ahmad, at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center in the university city.

The Excellence Program also featured 7 lectures and 2 panel discussions, with participants from 51 universities and colleges from within and outside the Kingdom, in addition to over 1,850 participants in workshops, both in-person and remotely.

The course, held for the thirteenth year, aimed to prepare medical school graduates, interns, and recent graduates for the post-graduate stage by introducing them to hospitals and specialized centers that offer training programs, familiarizing them with different medical specialties and the advantages of each, in addition to developing CV writing skills and preparing for specialized exams and personal interviews.

The course also provided participants with an opportunity to meet with representatives of academic and training affairs from governmental and private health institutions, to learn about available training and employment opportunities, and the requirements for enrolling in medical fellowship programs. Nine entities participated in the accompanying exhibition, where representatives of academic affairs explained training opportunities during the internship year and their requirements, in addition to showcasing job opportunities and fellowship programs. There were also booths for specialized medical academies offering research support services and a number of different specialized courses.
