In a new international achievement, the university has obtained a certificate of excellence at the World Summit on the Information Society "Wsis 2020" in Geneva.

The university, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Deanship of Information Technology, received an Award of Excellence at the WSIS 2020 Global Award yesterday, Monday, September 7, 2020, within the World Summit on the Information Society 2020 forum. This recognition was for the Skill Record program in the e-Employment category, where the project reached the final stage of voting among all participants in the employment field from several countries worldwide.

The University Skills Record is an official document certified by the university that monitors and documents non-academic personal and professional skills during the university study period. It is a documented and certified proof from the university of the student's skills in non-academic areas, supporting the graduate's CV and helping to improve the graduate's employment opportunities. This record also aims to enhance the university's output, document student activities, develop university life, and document non-academic skills acquired by graduates to increase their employment opportunities. It also encourages self-development during university life and leads to an increased positive impact on society through the activities provided during the university phase.

The Skills Passport will include credit-bearing activities, volunteer work (25 continuous or intermittent hours with a certificate from the university volunteering entity), student employment within the university, and other student participations and activities totaling no less than 8 hours, subject to the specific Skills Passport requirements. It also includes self-development and personality-building skills (3 hours or more), awards received from within the university, participation in student activities (20 documented continuous or intermittent hours), specialized professional activities approved by university entities, and student leadership skills (e.g., president of central clubs at the Deanship of Student Affairs, president of student clubs, student committees, president of volunteer work teams) with other university entities.
