The University, represented by the College of Arabic Language and Social Studies, held a scientific lecture on Tuesday, 6/17/1441 AH, entitled "Evidence of Climate Change in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Dughairi, Professor of Geomorphology and Remote Sensing Techniques, Head of the Department of Geography at the university, presented the lecture, which was attended by more than 200 male and female students and a number of faculty members at the university.
The lecture was part of the university's scientific enrichment program. The lecture discussed the technical aspects that proved the evidence of climate change in the Qassim region as a model, and introduced the main sources of Wadi Al-Rumma, its tributaries and reefs, and some of the environmental changes that occurred in the valley.
At the end of his lecture, Al-Dughairy recommended using modern technologies to avoid environmental issues that result from individual planning without involving specialists in aspects of analyzing spatial phenomena such as valleys.
