Overview
Electrical engineers are essential to every industry. In fact, it is difficult to imagine a modern industry without the services of electrical engineers. Electrical engineering was and remains a cornerstone of every new technological development. The duties of electrical engineers typically include design, feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis studies, installation, operation, and maintenance of plants, processes, or equipment. The focus of the Electrical Engineering department is on teaching, community service, and research. The faculty members recognize the importance of providing the graduating engineer with the foundational base to meet the great challenges and demands of a rapidly growing country like the Kingdom. The mission of the Electrical Engineering department is to provide quality education, research, and community services that cover a wide range of electrical engineering fields. These fields include the evaluation, design, operation, and maintenance of integrated governmental, industrial, and service systems.
