Overview
There is no doubt that the development of information technology at the present time has cast its shadow over the entire social, political, economic, and even educational life. Indeed, the movement of human development in all its dimensions and axes has changed with the development of technology, which puts the responsibility on education officials to take advantage of this new era, which requires new thinking and new skills to deal with it successfully. This development led to the emergence of continuous developments in the educational system at the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in line with Vision 2030, so that education becomes a system that takes into account and employs ICT tools in a systematic scientific and educational manner to reach the individual to a high degree of efficiency that qualifies him to face the challenges of the era and suit the needs of the labor market. Hence, the field of educational technologies emerges to help meet the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in its orientation towards employing the latest information and communication technologies according to an educational system to build citizens who are qualified to face the labor market professionally and creatively. Therefore, the Department of Educational Technologies, supported by the Deanship of the College of Education and reflecting the vision and mission of Al-Qassim University, offers the community two postgraduate programs: Master's Program in Educational Technologies (courses + thesis) and Doctoral Program in Educational Technologies (courses + thesis), in addition to teaching all courses related to the specialization of educational technologies at the College of Education and outside it. On the other hand, the department is keen to continue the academic accreditation of the master's program and seek to accredit the doctoral program academically soon, God willing. In this regard, the department extends its thanks and appreciation to the deanship of the college and the university administration for the continuous support of the department and the academic programs and activities it offers in the field of specialization.
