The education and training system initiatives are part of the programs to achieve the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, embodying the state's commitment to developing human capital and enhancing the competitiveness of education at national and global levels. These initiatives aim to raise the efficiency of the education and training system, improve the quality of outputs, and link them to labor market needs, contributing to building a sustainable knowledge economy. Within this framework, Saudi universities have been keen to align their strategies and executive plans with the vision's objectives by developing curricula and academic programs, introducing specialized fields, activating partnerships with the public and private sectors, enhancing scientific research and innovation, and transitioning towards integrated digital education.
It aims to improve the outcomes of the education and training system at all stages, from early childhood education to lifelong continuing education and training, to reach global standards. This will be achieved through education, qualification, and training programs that keep pace with the latest developments and demands of the era, align with the development needs and the rapidly changing local and global labor markets, and meet the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This will be done in partnership with all relevant parties, both locally and internationally. The program also contributes to the development of all components of the education and training system, including teachers, trainers, faculty members, governance, assessment and quality systems, curricula, educational and vocational pathways, and the educational and training environment for all stages of education and training, to align with modern and innovative trends in education and training.
Gifted Student Policies and Regulations Initiative

It aims to review, update, and activate policies, regulations, and the organizational framework for the gifted in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. This is intended to organize the care of the gifted in the Kingdom and build legislation that will contribute to empowering them. It will work to develop policies and regulations that include laws and specific legislation for the care of the gifted, define the goals and objectives of gifted care in the Kingdom, and establish general foundations for developing gifted care programs and practices. It will also develop a comprehensive guide for working with the gifted in accordance with special regulations and policies. Furthermore, it will work on the National Strategy for the Gifted, which includes comprehensive national standards in gifted care. These standards include: (national standards for governing gifted care procedures and practices, national standards for implementing gifted care programs, national standards for evaluating the quality of gifted care programs and practices, and national standards for professional cadres and professional development in the field of gifted care), in partnership with leading international entities.
Disability Access to Education Policy Initiative

Their needs should be considered in all legislation, regulations, and projects concerning students to ensure their access to education in their place of residence based on capacity and need, guaranteeing sufficient access and improving their accommodation. It also aims to develop a set of recommendations for program restructuring – whether for improvement, cancellation, or creation – in coordination with the labor market supply and demand foresight initiative, to determine annual seats, create academic programs, and evaluate the quality of academic programs and their consistency with labor market requirements by program and region.

It aims to launch self-customized degree programs to provide multidisciplinary study opportunities between scientific disciplines for higher education students at the diploma and bachelor's levels – according to their inclinations and desires – by developing a self-customized degree system. This system includes: identifying major and minor fields (or areas of interest), and supporting students in developing a customized study plan that meets their scientific interests and future career paths in a number of selected universities that work on enhancing and acquiring multiple skills for the labor market.

The aim is to develop accredited short university programs in collaboration between the private sector and public and private universities, under a clear framework and executive regulations. These programs will focus on professional specializations in demand in the labor market and will be characterized by flexibility and short duration (accredited university programs under 12 months) to acquire skills that align with the rapid changes in the labor market. This will be achieved by developing a general framework and executive regulations for the operation of short university programs, and by developing short university programs within the "FutureX" platform to promote comprehensive access to all short programs.

The aim is to provide an internal sporting, competitive, and recreational environment to utilize the free time of university staff through: qualifying and equipping (14) sports centers, establishing (12) sports centers within universities, training specialists to work in these centers, qualifying male and female workers to assist individuals with special needs, organizing awareness programs on sports activities for university staff, participating in external (international) games, and organizing internal competitive physical and recreational participations for male and female students in universities.
