The university participates in the «First Al-Qassim International Environmental Forum»

The university, represented by the Center for Sustainable Development, participated in the «First Al-Qassim International Environmental Forum,» which is held over two days at the King Khalid Cultural Center in the city of Buraidah. The university is highlighting its experience in building an integrated sustainability system.

The participation addressed the university's efforts to integrate green transformation concepts into its academic programs, in addition to activating community partnerships and environmental volunteer initiatives that included various cities and governorates in the region to enhance environmental awareness.

The university also showcased its research output in the fields of water, energy, and climate during the forum, along with its innovations to address environmental challenges. It also presented its “Green Campus” practices through policies adopted to increase energy efficiency and expand the use of clean energy through a solar energy project and full reliance on treated water for irrigation.

The university highlighted its societal impact through the Center for Sustainable Development by offering specialized environmental studies, consultations, and training programs, as well as activating partnerships and environmental volunteer initiatives to raise environmental awareness and instill a culture of sustainability.
