His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharkh, received today, Monday, August 17, 2026 AD, the university's annual report for the year 2025 AD from the Vice President for Business Development and Community Partnership, Dr. Majid bin Fadi Al-Anzi, in the presence of the report preparation team, at the university's main headquarters in the University City.
The university president commended the efforts of the report preparation team, headed by the vice president for business development and community partnership, and all university staff who contributed to preparing its content. He praised the report's documentation of the university's work, projects, and achievements, as well as its review of its most prominent activities and responsibilities during the year 2025, and the initiatives, projects, and activities it witnessed that contribute to achieving its strategic objectives and reflect its orientation toward continuous institutional development.
His Excellency pointed out that these achievements, alongside others contained within the pages of this report, would not have been realized were it not for the grace of Almighty Allah, followed by the unlimited support for the education sector from my Lord, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister—may Allah protect them—as well as their care and attention toward educational and research institutions, and the continuous follow-up by His Excellency the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Banyan, and the Ministry’s leadership, which contributed to empowering universities to fulfill their educational, research, and societal roles, and enhancing their contributions to the national development journey.
This report highlights the university’s most notable achievements during the year 2025, most notably its attainment of the highest «5-star+» rating in the QS World University Rankings, making it the first Saudi university to receive this rating, as well as its ranking first nationally and 61st globally in the UI Green Metric University Ranking for 2025, in addition to climbing 200 spots in the Times Higher Education rankings to reach 40th place in the Arab world, as well as in the QS World University Rankings, where it ranked 37th in the Arab world, while maintaining its position in the Shanghai Ranking, The number of local and international program accreditations also rose to 79 from prestigious local and international bodies such as: ABET, AACSB, and ACPE. Furthermore, the university has reached the «Innovation» stage in the Digital Transformation Index for the fourth consecutive year and has been ranked among the top ten government entities in the education and training sector, and the University’s Medical City received accreditation from the Saudi Center for Health Facilities Accreditation (SABAHI) after passing the final evaluation conducted by the Center’s team with a high score of 98.95%.
The report also documents the most prominent achievements made at the academic, research, and community levels, as well as the achievements witnessed by the university in the fields of scientific research, community service, student activities, and the development of academic programs, in addition to performance indicators related to international rankings and digital transformation, while reviewing areas for improvement and development opportunities during the coming phase.
