President of Qassim University witnesses the launch of the final qualifiers for Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal Award for Memorizing the Holy Quran in its third edition.

His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharaikh, witnessed today, Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the launch of the final qualifiers for the Award of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz for Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran, in its third edition. The award is organized by the university, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, and was attended by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fahd bin Sulaiman Al-Ahmad, at the Deanship's headquarters, in the university city.

The university president affirmed: "The award embodies the wise leadership's – may God support them – interest in caring for the Holy Quran and its people, and reflects the great support from the esteemed Prince of the Qassim region for the award that concerns the Holy Quran," noting that the university is proud to host this award, which has become a competitive platform that motivates the discovery of outstanding role models among memorizers of God's book.".

122 contestants, including 65 males and 57 females, qualified for the finals. They will compete in five branches. The number of judges reached 8, reflecting the great care the university gives to this blessed Quranic award, its eagerness to strengthen the connection with the Book of Allah, and its encouragement of students in memorization, recitation, and contemplation.

It is noteworthy that the preliminary qualifiers for the award witnessed 37 arbitration sessions across five branches, held remotely, with the participation of 13 members of the arbitration committee, for 1143 male and female participants, reflecting the increasing turnout for the award and its standing.
