His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, yesterday sponsored the National Forum for Crowd Management, organized by the Governorate of Al-Qassim Region in collaboration with Al-Qassim University, at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center at the university, with the participation of a number of relevant authorities and ministries.
His Highness reviewed the exhibition accompanying the forum, which showcased the efforts of the participating entities in crowd management and the solutions and technologies they offer to enhance organizational efficiency and improve safety levels. His Highness also attended the ceremony held for the occasion, which included a visual presentation on the most prominent experiences and practices in this field.
His Highness the Governor of Al-Qassim Region affirmed in a speech that this forum embodies the Kingdom's keenness to develop and enhance the efficiency of the crowd management system, in line with the comprehensive development it is witnessing and its continuous hosting of major events.
He pointed out that the forum comes as an extension of the wise leadership's keenness—may God support it—on everything that enhances human safety and achieves the highest quality standards in managing and organizing crowds, relying on the Kingdom's world-leading expertise, especially in the Hajj and Umrah seasons, which have become an internationally emulated model.
His Highness affirmed that the Qassim region's emirate was keen to hold this forum, believing in the importance of this vital field, the necessity of exchanging experiences, and reviewing best practices, in a way that contributes to developing performance, raising the level of readiness, and enhancing integration among government, service, and security entities.
He explained that crowd management has become an advanced science that relies on strategic planning, accurate analysis, and the use of modern technologies and intelligent systems, contributing to achieving flow, reducing risks, and improving response efficiency. He indicated that the forum represents an important national platform for unifying efforts, building partnerships, and developing national competencies, keeping pace with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which has made quality of life and community safety a top priority.
In conclusion of his speech, His Highness expressed his pride in the Al-Qassim region hosting such distinguished events, noting that the forum's success depends, after God's help, on the recommendations it produces that contribute to the development of the crowd management system in the Kingdom. He offered his thanks to the working team and to Qassim University for hosting the forum.
For his part, the President of Qassim University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharikh, extended his thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness the Prince of Qassim region for his continuous follow-up of the university's activities and his patronage of this forum, which comes within the framework of partnership and integration between the region's prince and the university in various fields.
He added that these partnerships contribute to supporting development paths in the region, praising the excellence of the crowd management system in the Kingdom, which is evident in major events such as Hajj, and sports and cultural events, according to best international practices in safety and organization.
This forum is organized as an extension of the efforts of the Qassim Region Emirate, in cooperation with the university, to support scientific and knowledge movement, and strengthen partnerships with various sectors, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and contributing to the development of national capabilities in vital fields.
