His Excellency, the Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at), Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi, and His Excellency, the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, honored Al-Qassim University on the evening of Saturday, November 8, 2025. The university was recognized for achieving third place in empowering innovation and entrepreneurship within the university system. This initiative aims to measure the level of entrepreneurial maturity in university environments, with the participation of 26 universities from various regions of the Kingdom.
His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharikh, received the shield of honor in the presence of His Excellency the Governor of Monsha'at, Prof. Sami bin Ibrahim Al-Husseini, as one of the top five entrepreneurial universities in the Kingdom, according to the results of the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Study Initiative in Universities. This was during the Beban 2025 Forum, the most prominent entrepreneurship event in the region, organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority in Riyadh, with wide participation from government entities, the private sector, and entrepreneurs.
This recognition comes in appreciation of the university's efforts in fostering an innovation environment and supporting entrepreneurship within the university system, contributing to the achievement of the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
