His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, praised the results of Qassim University's national initiative in research, development, and innovation, titled «Roots Extend and Horizons Renew: A Research Grant on National Identity and Sustainable Development.» This initiative coincides with the ninety-fifth National Day and aims to promote values and consolidate national identity, following His Highness's review of the initiative's outcomes.

 His Highness affirmed that the initiative's distinguished scientific engagement reflects the researchers' awareness of the importance of consolidating national identity and linking it to sustainable development pathways, noting that supporting scientific research is a fundamental pillar in building a knowledge society that contributes to achieving national development goals.

 His Highness expressed his thanks to the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharikh, and the university staff for their efforts in implementing this initiative and achieving its objectives.

It is noted that the initiative saw the submission of 124 research proposals, with 48 proposals accepted. These outcomes enhance the role of universities in serving the nation, support innovation, and contribute to the creation of knowledge linked to societal values and national identity.
