His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharaikh, attended by His Excellency the CEO of the University Hospitals Program, Professor Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Rubaish, and Their Excellencies the Vice Presidents of the University, patronized the Medical City's celebration on the occasion of its obtaining a number of medical accreditations and achieving distinguished accomplishments, and honoring its outstanding employees, on Wednesday morning, November 12, 2025, at the Medical City headquarters.
The ceremony began with the royal anthem, followed by a brief film showcasing the university's recent achievements in various institutional and national fields, reflecting its active presence in progress and excellence. This was followed by an introductory presentation of the Medical City's most important accomplishments, its distinguished operations, and its achieved medical accreditations. Subsequently, leaders and outstanding members of the Medical City were honored.
In his speech on this occasion, His Excellency the President of the University affirmed that these achievements embody the university's keenness to enhance the quality of its health services and reflect the unlimited support from the wise leadership – may God protect them – for the development of the university medical care system, noting that what has been achieved is a source of pride for the university and its staff.
His Excellency said: «We are proud of the qualitative operations and medical accreditations achieved by the city, and of its services reaching approximately 800,000 beneficiaries. I also extend my thanks to His Excellency the Executive General Manager, Dr. Khalid Al-Haisous, and all the city's employees for their dedication and excellence in providing healthcare services with international standards.».
For his part, His Excellency the CEO of the University Hospitals Program praised the remarkable development of the Medical City, emphasizing that its accreditation by «Spahe» is an indicator of trust and a testament to the quality of practices and the excellence of the healthcare services provided within it.
The University Medical City has achieved a number of milestones in recent months, having received accreditation from the Saudi Accreditation Center for Healthcare Facilities (SAHCF) after passing the final assessment conducted by the center’s team with a high score of 98.951.
The City Clinical Simulation Center has achieved a qualitative milestone by obtaining full accreditation from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), one of the highest global accreditations specialized in this field. This comes after the center met international standards in quality, training, and output efficiency.
