Promising grant for new faculty members Effective
The promising scholarship is one of the endowment scholarships, and it is a scholarship dedicated to supporting and empowering researchers who have recently joined Qassim University to engage in scientific research with high efficiency, by providing the necessary support to embark on the research path and encouraging scientific achievement.
Terms and Conditions for Application
- The applicant must hold a PhD or equivalent degree, and not have been employed as faculty at Qassim University for more than two years according to the appointment decision at Qassim University.
- The research proposal must not be plagiarized from a Master's or PhD thesis, nor must it have been completed in full or in part previously.
- The research proposal must fall within the research priorities of Qassim University.
- Researcher obtains a certificate of completion for the research ethics course.
- The application must be limited to the principal investigator only. Participating researchers may be involved, if scientifically necessary, after obtaining prior approval from the relevant research center. Their role will be limited to the scientific and executive aspects, and their involvement will not entail any financial entitlements or benefits.
- The researcher shall adhere to what is stated in the Scientific Research and Innovation Regulations and its executive bylaws at Qassim University, and the regulations organizing the management of research grants at Qassim University.
- The publication type should be Original Article.
- The scientific paper shall be published in a journal indexed in Web of Science (WoS) in one of its editions (SCIE, SSCI) for all disciplines in one of the following quartiles (Q1, Q2, or Q3). For the disciplines of colleges affiliated with the Theoretical Colleges Center, the scientific paper must be published in a journal indexed in Scopus in the first quartile (Q1) or second quartile (Q2) only.
Duration and financial benefits
- The project duration is one academic year (10 months), starting from the date of signing the contract between the researcher and the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
- Financial rewards are calculated according to the permanent grant rewards, as stipulated in the regulations governing the administration of research grants at Qassim University.
- reimbursement of scientific publishing fees in indexed journals is in accordance with the controls and conditions of the Qassim University Initiative to Support Scientific Publishing Fees.
Researcher Generation Grant Effective
It is one of the permanent scholarships directed towards graduate students at the Master's and Doctoral levels. It aims to support and empower students to conduct scientific research, enhance their research capabilities, and encourage them to produce sound scientific research that contributes to the development of knowledge and serves the scientific research priorities of the university and society. The scholarship also seeks to build a generation of researchers capable of adhering to scientific methodology and raising the quality of research outputs for graduate students, thereby enhancing the university's competitiveness and research standing.

- The applicant must be a faculty member at Qassim University and the academic supervisor of the student's thesis.
- The research proposal must align with the approved research plan of the student.
- The research proposal has not been supported by any other party and will not be submitted for support to any other party after its approval for funding.
- The research proposal must fall within the research priorities of Qassim University.
- Researchers obtaining a certificate of completion for the scientific research ethics course.
- The submission shall be limited to the thesis scientific supervisor and the graduate student. Participating researchers may be involved when scientifically necessary, after obtaining prior approval from the relevant research center, without any financial obligations arising from their involvement.
- The researcher shall adhere to what is stated in the Scientific Research and Innovation Regulations and its executive bylaws at Qassim University, and the regulations organizing the management of research grants at Qassim University.
- The publication type should be Original Article.

Defense Research Grant - Faculty and Graduate Student Track Effective
The idea to launch the Defense Research Grant came about in the context of developing research and development in all developmental and research fields, in partnership with the Prince Sultan Defense Studies and Research Center. This initiative aims to stimulate and develop human cadres and to nurture and refine the knowledge and capabilities necessary in fields and specializations related to military and defense industries and the research and development system in the Kingdom.
Defense Research Grant (Faculty Track) Conditions
1- The principal investigator must be a faculty member at Qassim University and hold an academic rank of no less than assistant professor.
2- The research team should consist of at least two researchers from within the university, and it is preferable to involve graduate students as research assistants.
3- It is preferable for the research team to consist of diverse specializations.
4- None of the research team members should be in a state of default or delinquency according to the default conditions specified by the Deanship of Scientific Research.
5- The research proposal has not been previously submitted for funding from any other entity, nor will it be submitted for funding from any other entity after approval of its support.
6- The research proposal must not exceed the percentage approved by the Deanship when tested with the plagiarism program.
7- Support must be acknowledged when publishing project outputs according to the format approved by the Deanship.
8- The research proposal must fall within the specified areas.

3- The research proposal must not have been previously supported by any other entity and will not be submitted for support to any other entity after its approval.
4- Support must be acknowledged when publishing project outputs according to the format approved by the Deanship.
5- The research proposal must not exceed the percentage approved by the Deanship when tested with the plagiarism program.
6- The research proposal must fall within the specified areas.

Defense Research Grant - Undergraduate Track (Graduation Projects) Completed
From the perspective of developing research and development in all developmental and research fields, the idea of launching the Defense Research Scholarship came about in partnership with the Prince Sultan Center for Defense Studies and Research. Sustainable Development Research Grant Completed
Sustainable Development Research Grant for Faculty Members, aiming to stimulate and encourage researchers in fields and specializations related to sustainable development and the research and development system in the Kingdom.
Terms and Conditions for the Sustainable Development Research Grant
1- The Principal Investigator must be a faculty member at Qassim University, with an academic rank of at least Assistant Professor.
2- The principal investigator or a member of the research team must not be in breach of the terms of breach as defined by the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
3- The research proposal should not have been previously supported by any other entity, and it should not be submitted to any other entity for support once approved.
4- It must not be a research paper extracted from an academic thesis (Master's, PhD, or previously funded research projects).
5- Team research rewards distribution shall be in accordance with the Unified Regulation for Scientific Research upon project closure and achievement of its outcomes, which include publishing one research paper in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Web of Science lists (Q1, Q2, and Q3) according to the latest version (for all specializations). For humanities specializations only, publication in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus lists (Q1 and Q2) according to the latest version may be accepted, using the approved keywords for sustainable development (click here for reference).
6- To be the documented scientific reference in the published research for the researcher in the following approved format:

Except for the applied college, which will be named:

7- Refer to the support of the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Qassim University when publishing the research according to the format approved by the Deanship.
8- The research team shall consist of no more than two researchers, and one of the research team members must have prior publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
9- The scholarship duration is one year from the date of signing the contract between the principal investigator and the deanship.

The Development Scholarship - Second Edition Completed
This is a grant aimed at implementing and completing studies and development projects for entities related to the university. Through these, the university's objectives will be achieved to enhance its capabilities and solve some existing problems.

Development Grant Program - Second Session Terms
1- The studies are to be presented by parties within the university.
2- All submitted studies are subject to arbitration and evaluation by the competent authorities and committees.
3- The project must not exceed 10 months to complete.
4- The principal investigator must be a Saudi national and an employee of the entity applying for the project.
5- The research team members consist of associate researchers (no more than five) in addition to the principal investigator.
6- Does the total amount allocated for research team bonuses not exceed 55,000 SAR according to the following table:

7- Support services that serve the development grant may be added, not exceeding 15,000 riyals, payable upon project closure.
8- The submitted project should primarily serve the applicant entity, and it is preferred that the project falls within the entity's strategic plan and is not already completed in the "Balamx" system.
9- The project will be closed and researchers' dues will be disbursed after the submission of a detailed report and a workshop to present the project's outcomes, followed by its approval by the relevant committees and authorities.

Al-Qassim University has given great attention to the research, development, and innovation sector. Within this framework, the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research launched the Innovation Enhancement Grant, which aims to promote a knowledge-based economy by transforming ideas, sciences, and knowledge into products of high economic and societal value. This will actively contribute to driving the wheel of development by linking it to national development indicators.

Research Grants for Development Services in the Qassim Region Ineffective
One of the main goals of the strategic plan for Qassim University is to serve the development in the Qassim region, in a way that achieves the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. Therefore, the university, represented by the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, has launched a research projects grant to serve development in the Qassim region. The university provides support for 10 research projects carried out by 46 researchers, with the aim of contributing to accelerating development in the region to help achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
