Two awards for the University at the Dubai International Pharmaceutical and Technology Conference (DUPHAT)

 

The College of Pharmacy concluded its fifth participation in the Dubai Pharmaceutical and Technology Conference and Exhibition (DUPHAT), which was held over three days at the Dubai International Convention Center, with the participation of 650 companies and universities from 75 countries. The university won two awards in two different competitions at the conference, putting the university on the podium at this prestigious international scientific conference that brings together the most important pharmaceutical experts, pharmaceutical manufacturers and the largest universities in the world.

Dania Ibrahim Al-Huwaimel won fourth place out of 100 contestants in the Pharmaceutical Consultation Competition, while student Ranad Mohammed Al-Salama from the College of Pharmacy achieved tenth place in the quality of research content out of 600 research papers participating in the Research Poster Exhibition.

Dr. Mansour bin Saleh Al-Sharida, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, congratulated the two winning students upon the announcement of the official results of the conference's scientific competitions. He also thanked all members of the university delegation to this conference, expressing his pride in this great achievement achieved by the sons and daughters of the university in this international scientific forum.

Al-Sharida also congratulated Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, for this achievement, which is added to the records of the University, which is witnessing a remarkable development in its participation in international forums in light of his support for everything that serves students and develops the scientific outputs of the University. 

Al-Sharida pointed out that the college participated in several previous editions of the conference and achieved many awards in the various competitions of the conference, stressing that participation in such international events has added more cumulative experiences for the College of Pharmacy, and helps students to learn about the latest scientific research in the field of pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry, as well as benefit from the presence of distinguished experts and academics around the world in the field of pharmacy and major pharmaceutical companies that are keen to be present at this conference every year.
