His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim region, directed that Qassim University be the incubator for Silicon Valley in the region, within the framework of strengthening the region's position as a center for technological innovation and leadership in the fields of technology and digital transformation.
His Highness affirmed that this directive stems from the wise leadership's vision, which seeks to achieve technological and economic transformation in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. He pointed to the importance of the university's role in supporting innovation and technological entrepreneurship by embracing young talent and providing a suitable environment for developing ideas and transforming them into technological and economic projects that serve the nation.
His Highness also emphasized the importance of integrating efforts between government and private entities to achieve the initiative's goals and enhance the region's role as a destination for attracting technological investments and stimulating the digital economy.
For his part, His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharikh, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Governor of the region for his continuous support of the university and its initiatives, emphasizing that the university will work to provide all necessary resources to turn this project into a tangible reality that contributes to developing the technical infrastructure and creating quality investment opportunities.
The directive from His Highness the Prince of Qassim Region is a strategic step towards enhancing the region's position as a center for technological excellence and innovation, supporting sustainable development and contributing to building a strong knowledge-based economy.
