"5655" university parking lots are prepared to receive students' cars

The University's Project Management Department has completed its preparations to receive female students" cars at the university city in "Mullaida," where approximately 5,655 parking spaces have been prepared. This is part of the university's efforts following the decision to allow women to drive, which is set to be implemented on 10/10/1439 AH.

The project management continues its field study of the remaining female university college sites in the governorates, in order to prepare parking lots for each of them in proportion to the number of female students in each governorate in the region. The department is currently studying the site of the Science and Community Colleges complex in the governorates of Unaizah, Al-Muzannab, Al-Badai, and Al-Baqaa, in addition to the Al-Rass Colleges complex and the areas of Turfiya, Al-Nabehaniya, Uqlat Al-Suqour, and Dhariya, and the colleges of the city of Buraidah, in addition to preparing a classroom under construction in Al-Asyah. The final concept has been submitted to the specialists for the approval of the project plans and then the commencement of implementation.

It is mentioned that His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, the President of the University, directly responded to the Royal Order of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz – may God protect him – issued four months ago on the 6th of Muharram [Arabic calendar month], permitting women to drive according to Sharia and regulatory controls. Immediately following the issuance of the Royal Order, His Excellency directed the replanning of parking lots for female students in all female colleges at the university.
