Qassim University offers 40 service and educational programs for visitors to the "Buraydah Spring Festival"

For the fifth year in a row, Qassim University is participating in the "Buraidah Spring" festival for the year 1438 AH through an exhibition featuring 8 student clubs from the university's colleges, offering more than 40 programs, including health, educational, and religious, to festival visitors.

 

The participations include several activities, such as those offered by the Student Club of the College of Medicine, which consists of 6 services for visitors. These include measuring blood pressure, checking blood sugar levels, measuring height and weight and calculating body mass index, and providing education about eye diseases and thyroid diseases. Meanwhile, the Student Club of the College of Science provides information about the chemistry of detergents and their reactions, and the correct ways to handle them. It also offers scientific and educational benefits to visitors through chemical and physical experiments it conducts.

 

The Pharmacy Student Club is participating in five awareness programs on chronic diseases, drug safety, proper medication storage and usage, herbal mixtures and their effects and interactions with medications, and the harms of smoking and poisons. Additionally, the Dentistry Student Club is participating by presenting five programs: "Our Health Our Teeth," "How to Care for Oral and Dental Health," "Guidelines for Oral and Dental Health," and "An Attractive Smile.".

In turn, the Student Club of the College of Applied Medical Sciences offers 5 specialized programs including: visual acuity measurement, eye safety, detection of refractive errors, intraocular pressure measurement, and ultrasound examinations of the kidneys, liver, and spleen. It also includes blood typing and its importance in marriage, pregnancy, and childbirth. The Student Club of the College of Agriculture participates by presenting 5 programs including: taxidermied specimens of date palm pests, an integrated apiary, fat percentage estimation with height measurement, and a nursery of ornamental plants and types of date fruits.

The student club at the Community College in Buraidah offers 5 diverse programs, including training courses for visitors covering basic computer and internet skills, educational applications on smartphones, database system fundamentals, human resource management, and quality science. The student club at the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies offers two programs focused on Sharia and legal consultations.                 

Dr. Fahd bin Ibrahim Al-Dala, Vice Dean of Student Affairs and Head of Student Clubs at the university, explained that this participation is a continuation of the university's previous participations and a activation of its societal role in introducing its roles and programs. He praised the support that student clubs receive from His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, the university's president, and his keenness for the university's participation in the festival to be distinguished and purposeful.
