His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of Qassim University, attended the reception ceremony for new students for the new academic year at the Colleges of Community, Engineering, Pharmacy, and Science and Arts in the governorate of Unaizah.
The esteemed Dean of the University urged new students to focus their energy on academic achievement and strive for excellence and success, so they may become good building blocks for their nation and communities. He pointed out that the university stage is entirely different from the previous stages and wished students success in their new academic journey, emphasizing that the university strives to overcome any obstacles they may face during their studies.
His Excellency stressed in his speech to the students the necessity of being wary of handing over their minds to those with misguided ideologies and not to be swayed by their erroneous ideas, emphasizing that university students are targets of this group, who exploit social media platforms with the aim of destabilizing the nation and inciting rebellion against its security and stability.
The ceremony is part of introducing new students to the regulations and instructions that concern their academic future, the services the university offers its students, and answering their questions and inquiries by the university administration, deans, and college vice-deans regarding all aspects of their university studies and what they need in their academic journey.
His Excellency the University President inspected the buildings of the colleges in Unaizah and met with the students, discussing with them the level of services provided and their suitability.
His Excellency also visited the "University City" in the Aounayzah branch (under construction), where he inspected the new college buildings as well as the new residential units for faculty members.
