His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Province, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Al-Qassim University and the National Center for Plant Protection and Animal Disease Prevention and Control («Wiqaya»). The signing was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadli, His Excellency the President of Al-Qassim University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharikh, and His Excellency the CEO of the National Center for Plant Protection and Animal Disease Prevention and Control, Eng. Ayman bin Saad Al-Ghamdi. The ceremony took place at the Emarah Diwan.
The memorandum was signed by His Excellency the Vice President of the University for Educational Affairs, Dr. Fahd bin Suleiman Al-Ahmad, and the Director General of the National Center for «Waqaa» Al-Qassim Branch, Dr. Omar bin Abdullah Al-Musnad, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Food Sciences, Dr. Hani Al-Faheed, and the Supervisor of the Department of Knowledge Exchange and Scientific Events, Dr. Mishari Al-Enizi.
This memorandum aims to keep pace with the requirements of the sustainable development journey in the Kingdom's agricultural sectors and to activate joint cooperation between the two parties, which meets their common goals in academic, scientific, research, training, development, community service, and other fields that enhance positive partnership to serve society and the nation.
This memorandum serves to foster collaboration between researchers and technicians on both sides of the memorandum, for the purpose of conducting joint projects in the scientific, research, training, and development fields, as well as community service. It also encourages the exchange of academic, scientific, research, and training visits between the parties to the memorandum in ways that support their respective areas.
