The wife of the Emir of the Qassim region, Princess Abeer bint Suleiman Al-Mandil, celebrated the graduation of 5333 female students from various scientific, medical, and literary specializations at Buraydah colleges, the University Studies Center for Female Students, and postgraduate studies. This took place after she sponsored the graduation ceremony for female students of Qassim University last Thursday evening in the university's main hall. The ceremony included a program of speeches, which began with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the royal anthem, before the procession of graduates, accompanied by a comprehensive introduction to each of the university's colleges and its literary, scientific, or medical specializations, along with statistics on the number of its graduates for this year. .
Then, His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamoudi, delivered his recorded speech. He began by praising God, expressing his happiness and pleasure at the celebration on Thursday evening, the eighteenth of Rajab of this year, under the kind patronage of Her Highness Princess Abeer Al-Mandil, for the graduation of the twelfth batch of qualified female students from Qassim University in sciences and skills. He emphasized that they are expected to contribute effectively to the development and construction process that awaits this country. His Excellency also mentioned in his speech the number of female graduates this year, which is 5333 graduates at the bachelor's degree level, including the first batch from the College of Medical Rehabilitation, specializing in physical therapy, and the first batch from the College of Nursing, specializing in nursing. He also noted the graduation of 118 postgraduate students, seven of whom hold doctoral degrees. The university had previously celebrated the graduation of its male students with their own ceremony, bringing the total number of Qassim University graduates for this year to 8358.
His Excellency congratulated the families and the graduating daughters on the successful conclusion of their educational journey, which is a culmination of hard work and effort, and the university is proud of them as they are armed with the weapons of religion and knowledge to contribute to building society. His Excellency stressed that obtaining a university degree is not the end of the road, but rather a transitional phase from a citizen receiving knowledge to a role player in development.
Then, graduate Lulwah Al-Shubrami delivered the graduates' speech, in which she said: "After sixteen years spent in the halls and institutions of education, the awaited day has come to toss our graduation caps, sharing moments of happiness with our families and bidding farewell to late nights and hard work. We are committed that this day is the beginning of a step towards a bright and ambitious future. We thank Princess Abeer Al-Mandil for sponsoring the ceremony, and our thanks extend to the faculty members, and our highest gratitude to the graduates' mothers, who endured years of hardship with them, and among whom we reaped the fruits of success." .
Later, the university's female graduates with Master's and Bachelor's degrees were honored with the Award of Excellence by Her Royal Highness Princess Abeer Al-Mundil. .
