His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University: He praised that the university has become, praise be to God, one of the distinguished universities in various scientific, academic and research aspects, as well as student activities and accreditations obtained by the university, praising the leaps achieved by the university represented by its students and professors or by the competent authorities such as colleges, deanships and various departments in publishing scientific research and awards at the local and international level.
This came during the UQU President's patronage of the Student Day ceremony, which was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the university, with the participation of the central clubs and college clubs. The Student Day program includes 45 exhibitions to review the efforts and works of students over three days, in the presence of His Excellency the UQU Vice President, Dr. Mohammed Al-Saawi, His Excellency the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Sharekh, His Excellency the UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Al-Turki, His Excellency the UQU Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality, Prof. Khalid Al-Harbi, and University Council members in the main hall of the university city.
Mr. Al-Dawood emphasized that these achievements did not come out of thin air, but came by the grace of God, then by the support that the university receives from our wise leadership, as well as by the follow-up of His Highness the Emir of the region and His Highness the Vice President and their encouragement of the roles played by the university, then by the efforts of the university's male and female employees, each in his position, noting the roles of all officials, whether faculty members or administrators in general, as well as his sons and daughters from the university students who had a major and major role in what has been achieved, praise be to our university, and thank God.
The UQU President explained that the achievements that the university, praise be to God, has been achieving from time to time, and winning awards that were not achieved by universities that preceded it in establishment or publication, and this is a source of pride and pride for all of us, and at the same time we have a responsibility to maintain these successive achievements, saying: We are still aspiring and looking forward to reach higher than what we have reached, God willing, and then with your efforts and the solidarity of all of you, and working at the level of one team, the university will achieve what we all aspire to, offering thanks to the university students on Student Day for what they have presented, whether in today's presentations or throughout the years they spend in their scientific departments and colleges.
He also thanked the staff of the Deanship of Student Affairs for organizing this program and this wonderful effort and work, led by His Excellency the Dean of the Deanship of Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ajlan, and his colleagues, vice deans, directors of departments and staff of the deanship for these blessed efforts, as well as the members of the University Council, and all those who contributed to the achievement of these works and products that we hope, God willing, to see soon on the ground, supporting and supporting the development of this great nation and achieving the vision of our ambitious Kingdom 2030, asking God Almighty for success and more successes to follow.
During the program, UQU President honored students who excelled in student activities during the year. His Excellency honored Sulaiman bin Mohammed Al-Rajhi from the College of Dentistry for obtaining the highest number of volunteer hours with a total of 4296 hours, and Salman bin Amash Al-Harbi from the College of Applied Medical Sciences for obtaining the title of outstanding ranger in the Rangers Club for his many voluntary works in managing and organizing the Rangers, programs and events of the university.
The students with the highest number of skills registration in the skill register were honored: Saleh Abdulrahman Abdullah Al-Qayani from the College of Science, who won first place, Faisal Mohammed Shaye Al-Badrani from the College of Economics and Administration for second place, Abdulaziz Sulaiman Abdulaziz Al-Qarnas from the College of Science and Arts in Aniza, and Sami Salah Abdi Al-Bishri from the preparatory year for third place.
The colleges of Science and Arts in Al-Ris, Science and Arts in Aqlah Al-Suqur, and Business Administration in Al-Ris received the bronze shield, while the Applied College in Buraydah, the College of Medicine and Dentistry in Al-Ris received the silver shield, while the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, the College of Dentistry, and the College of Education received the gold shield, while the College of Engineering, the College of Applied Sciences, and the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences in Aniza won the diamond shield.
