The wife of the Prince of Qassim region, Princess Abeer Al-Mendil, inaugurated the second legal exhibition under the slogan ”Your Way to Your Rights” yesterday morning at the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies. The exhibition is organized by the legal training students from the Systems Department in cooperation with the Student Club of the department. .

Twelve government entities participated in showcasing their most important legal services listed on their official websites, including the Ministries of Commerce and Interior. The booths featured presentations on legal training opportunities for ministry branches such as Public Security, Passports, Anti-Narcotics, the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (“Nazaha”), the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Health, and the Kingdom's legislative authority, as well as legal employment. A special booth was dedicated to the currently prominent global event, ”Operation Decisive Storm,” and the legislative authority's resolution based on it to combat threats to the security of the nation and its people, and the consensus of Gulf and Arab societies, and cooperation to restore security and stability to Yemen. .

And added to the exhibition were support corners for hospitality and serving visitors, and an exhibition guide. .

It is worth noting that one hundred female law students participated in the exhibition, providing a comprehensive introduction to government entities and the legal services they offer citizens to facilitate their legal transactions. The students also presented live demonstrations of government entities' electronic services, explaining their role and how to apply for them.

For her part, Princess Abeer Al-Mandil praised what she saw of the tremendous effort by the college administration and students, considering it a comprehensive exemplary work presented with a feminine student spirit, based on their skills, determination, and resolve to move forward towards fostering a culture of rights and law, and she is hopeful that their practical aspirations will be realized.

The Vice Dean of the College of Sharia, Dr. Huda Al-Ghafais, thanked His Highness the Princess for honoring the college with her presence and gracious patronage, and for the encouraging words she offered the students and the moral support for their ambitions and endeavors. .

The exhibition supervisor, Dr. Naamat, stated that the exhibition was organized around the message of rights and shared responsibility between individuals, society, and institutions, and that it is their responsibility to form a link between them all to affirm the slogan ”Your Path to Your Rights.” This is based on the idea of a direct display of the legislative and executive authorities, as well as governmental bodies and agencies. The goal was clear in organizing the exhibition to spread legal awareness while strengthening the culture of seeking rights, introducing government entities and their legal jurisdictions, and clarifying the correct ways to obtain rights from these entities. .

She added that the formation of the Law Club for female law students serves as a branch that provides legal consultations internally to students and externally to centers and associations, in partnership with the Businesswomen's Center in the Qassim region. This includes offering lectures, workshops, and training courses, and providing information and explanations to businesswomen on understanding commercial contracts and labor law. Their community partnerships also involve engaging with the "Usra" Association for legal matters, as well as women's prisons and human rights.

The participating female students in the exhibition also emphasized the importance of increasing the level of legal awareness among local community women, with a steady increase in the responsiveness and accessibility of government agencies through their websites for citizen transactions, facilitating service provision and completion. They also stressed that they benefited from the practical application of the legal training course requirement, and the preceding stages of research, investigation, and explanation of information regarding the formation of courts in the Kingdom, the old system, and the newly established current system for public and administrative judiciary, their courts and departments, as well as the legislative authority that governs according to divine law, the Sunnah, and positive laws enacted by the legislative authority and enforced by the executive authority. One of the legal training students wished for the inclusion of a women's section in the General Directorate of Security, similar to other departments connected to women's prisons. The explanation also included the role of the Ministry of Commerce, reporting commercial violations, passports, the Commission for the Fight Against Corruption, and the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, focusing on extortion cases and revealing an increase in recorded cases of extortion in the Kingdom. For every two young men extorted, there are four girls who are subjected to this act. A case of reverse extortion was also observed in the Al-Qassim region, where a fifteen-year-old girl extorted a thirty-year-old man. Therefore, it was imperative for law students to present this case at the exhibition to spread a culture of family and legal concern for girls, increase their awareness, and inform them of what is being done.Click this linkIn the event that God forbid she is exposed to this problem, and to whom would you turn after God to resolve it?.
