UQU President Signs Cooperation Agreement between the University Medical City and King Faisal Hospital and Research Center

His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, signed a joint cooperation agreement with Dr. Majid Al-Fayyad, Executive General Supervisor of King Faisal Hospital and Research Center, under the patronage and presence of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, at his office on Wednesday, 15/5/1442 A.H. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation and exchange of expertise between the Medical City of the University and the General Organization of King Faisal Hospital and Research Center.

H.H. the Emir praised the conclusion of such agreements, stressing that they are a realistic implementation of the principle of coordination, which is a pillar of success and an essential element for excellence and the exchange of ideas and experiences. He pointed out that this agreement will contribute to enhancing and improving the quality provided at the university hospital to serve its beneficiaries, and praised the support and generous follow-up that health services receive from our wise government, and commended the efforts of the UQU President in attracting such partnerships and encouraging students to contribute in serving patients and benefiting from their initiatives and efforts in doubling their role to enhance health services.

The terms of the agreement, which was signed in the presence of Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Wazzan, Vice President of the Emirate of Qassim, Dr. Mohammed Al-Saawi, and Dr. Khalid Al-Husais, Executive Director of the University Medical City, stipulated activating the partnership and cooperation between the two sides in developing policies and procedures and following up on their implementation in the University Medical City to ensure the highest level of care and safe services for patients, improve the patient experience, and provide continuous education and training for the staff of the University Medical City.

The agreement also aims to identify appropriate solutions to overcome the challenges faced by the healthcare workforce, and everything that would develop the health partnership between the two entities to enhance cooperation and transfer of knowledge and skills in the fields of education, clinical practice, training, work methods and techniques, strengthening the health and research system, and joint endeavor to transfer skills and expertise in supporting health services and improving the professional skills of health workers in both entities.
