University prepares study plans for Unaiza Community Colleges

With an agreement valued at over one million riyals for the first phase

The university recently witnessed the signing of the first joint cooperation agreement between the Colleges of Unaizah and the university. This agreement involves the signing of educational services contracts between the Colleges of Unaizah, represented by Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Shetawi, Member of the Board of Directors and General Supervisor of the Colleges, and Dr. Ibrahim bin Ali Al-Luhaidan, Dean of the Institute of Studies and Consulting Services at Qassim University. Through this agreement, the university, via its colleges, will develop study plans for the programs of the Colleges of Engineering and Information Technology, and Administrative and Human Sciences, in accordance with the standards and models set by the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, with local and international references.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Dean of the College of Engineering at Qassim University, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Marshoud, the Dean of the College of Economics and Administration, Dr. Obaid Al-Mutairi, and the Dean of the College of Architecture and Planning, Dr. Mohammed Al-Marouai, as well as Professor Abdullah Al-Khraiji, who is tasked with overseeing the development of study plans with the colleges. Also attending on behalf of the Colleges of Unaizah was Mr. Adnan bin Saud Al-Yahya, Assistant Supervisor General.
This agreement comes as part of the efforts made by the founders of the Private Colleges of Unaizah to obtain general accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education and commence studies in the academic year 1436/1437 AH. The colleges have completed the construction of educational buildings, facilities, and related services on a campus covering an area of three hundred thousand square meters. The founders are keen to offer distinguished programs that meet the aspirations of the Ministry and the surrounding community, and contribute to bridging the gap in the labor market in the fields of engineering, computer science, finance and business, and humanities.
It should be noted that the College of Engineering at Qassim University has obtained international accreditation from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), and the College of Economics and Administration has recently obtained preliminary international accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Unaizah Colleges, Mr. Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Sulaim, and the General Manager of the company, Mr. Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Shtaiwi, on behalf of the founders of Unaizah Colleges, expressed their thanks and appreciation to Qassim University, represented by His Excellency the President of the University, for the blessed efforts that the university offers in serving emerging colleges in general and Unaizah Colleges in particular. Thanks are also extended to the Dean of the Institute of Studies and Consulting Services and the Deans of the relevant colleges for their fruitful cooperation in facilitating the stages of preparing the study plans for Unaizah Colleges.
It is noted that the value of the contract for the development of study plans in the first phase amounted to two million two hundred and fifty thousand riyals.
