During the annual quality ceremony UQU Vice Presidency for Planning, Development and Quality celebrates the colleges, deanships and departments that received the quality shield

His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, said, "The excellence achieved by the university day after day reflects the strength of the support of our wise government under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince - may Allah protect them - to the education sector, and the keenness of His Highness the Emir of Qassim, His Highness the Deputy Emir and His Excellency the Minister of Education in following up the educational system and its institutions, in order to enhance the university's efforts to achieve the Kingdom Vision 2030 and its programs that seek to build a prosperous economy through raising the quality of education and its outputs, praising the diligent endeavors of the university colleges, departments, and centers to achieve quality standards, accreditation, and accreditation

This came during the annual quality ceremony held by the University Vice Presidency for Planning, Development and Quality, represented by the Deanship of Development and Quality "Remotely", on Thursday, 26/3/1442 AH, in conjunction with the World Quality Day, in which all colleges, academic programs, supporting deanships, departments and centers compete to obtain the Qassim University Quality Shield at its various levels.

His Excellency explained that the university celebrates on this day with the whole world the harvest of a full year of giving, progress and achievement in our pioneering university, and we harvest its fruits of excellence and excellence locally and internationally, and start a better stage in which we complete a continuous cycle of planning, development and improvement by benefiting from the efforts made in the past stage, and from its results and recommendations, until we reach our university, God willing, to the top of local universities and put it in the ranks of distinguished universities around the world.

Al-Dawood pointed out that this annual quality celebration comes within the university's efforts to honor its various colleges, deanships, departments and centers that have achieved advanced levels in their performance and quality standards in particular, and urged everyone to encourage them to exert more effort to achieve the university's vision, mission and strategic objectives and to maintain and surpass the advanced positions achieved by the university in the fields of quality and accreditation, by achieving more academic and administrative accreditations as we all await the announcement of the renewal of the university's institutional accreditation by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission.

He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to all colleagues at the University Vice Presidency for Planning, Development and Quality, the Deanship of Development and Quality and its affiliates, and all those who participated and contributed to the success of the sixth internal quality audit and the organization of this ceremony remotely under these exceptional circumstances that the world is going through due to the spread of the new Corona virus, asking Allah to protect everyone from the evil of this epidemic, to remove it from our country and all mankind, and to maintain security and safety in this homeland in the shade of the new Corona virus.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Khalid Bani Al-Harbi, Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality, stressed that education receives great attention from our dear Kingdom and the wise leadership, represented in the spread of the area of educational programs in various academic disciplines, which ensures meeting the development needs of the Kingdom, and this interest has increased to provide academic programs, but also to raise the efficiency of these programs to provide good educational outputs in accordance with the best policies and practices for comprehensive quality, and our university, praise be to God, was the first in this by engaging in the application of quality policies in education as the first of these efforts was when the university engaged in

Al-Harbi pointed out that the university was not satisfied with this under the direct guidance of the UQU President, as it is currently working to complete the academic accreditation of 22 academic programs, 18 of which are in the advanced stages of academic accreditation, and soon, God willing, we will congratulate everyone on their accreditation, and this will raise the total number of approved programs at the university to more than 51 approved programs, and all these efforts came only with the concerted efforts of colleagues and colleagues in charge of these programs, under the guidance and follow-up of the UQU President, which made the university in a distinguished position among Saudi universities in terms of academic quality.

Al-Harbi added that despite the circumstances of the Corona pandemic, the university did not neglect the quality of its academic programs and activities. It worked through risk management policies to control practices according to its available capabilities, and efficiently controlled its educational and academic activities, which was reflected in the volume of academic activities that were implemented during the pandemic, and while the pandemic continues, the university is still working to control quality processes according to its internal policies, in addition to completing the accreditation of its programs through direct coordination with all parties remotely, to achieve continuous quality control.

After that, Dr. Bandar bin Al-Humaidi Al-Mutairi, Dean of the Deanship of Development and Quality, reviewed a brief report on the sixth internal audit of colleges, programs, deanships and departments, which is considered one of the most important tools on which the university's internal quality system is based to ensure performance evaluation and continuous improvement at the institutional and programmatic level. The report included the stages of developing the internal quality audit at the university, which went through five stages, while the sixth stage witnessed several developmental steps, most notably evaluating academic programs according to the developed standards issued by the National Center in 2018 and activating the Daman platform of the Center.

Al-Mutairi also reviewed the efforts exerted in the sixth internal audit, in which nearly 40 faculty members of both sexes participated, who examined more than 50,000 documents for 98 academic and administrative units at the university. The time spent reviewing the documents was estimated at 1833 working hours, and the audit teams carried out 44 field verification visits, during which more than 400 interviews were conducted with all categories of beneficiaries, including students, faculty members, employees, committees, employers and others, in addition to reviewing the main results of the sixth internal audit, the most prominent improvement opportunities, and comparing the audit results between deanships, departments and centers

After that, the colleges, deanships and centers that received the university shield at various levels, diamond, gold, silver and bronze, in addition to honoring the work team participating in the internal audit of the university programs, supporting deanships and departments in recognition of their great efforts in supporting the process of development and quality.

Many colleges were able to achieve advanced positions in the application of academic quality standards, as the Diamond Shield was awarded to the College of Pharmacy in Unaiza, while the Gold Shield was awarded to the College of Medical Rehabilitation, the College of Designs, and the College of Pharmacy, while the Silver Shield was awarded to the following colleges: College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, College of Science and Arts in Asyah, College of Architecture and Planning, Buraidah Community College, and College of Dentistry, while the bronze shield was awarded to: College of Education, College of Nursing, College of Public Health and Health Informatics in Bukayriyah, College of Medicine, College of Medicine and Medical Sciences in Unaizah, College of Science, College of Science and Letters in Bukayriyah, College of Science and Letters in Al-Ras, College of Science and Letters in Riyadh Al-Khubra, College of Science and Letters in Badriyah, and College of Science and Letters in Unaizah.

The supporting deanships and departments that applied the administrative quality standards were honored with the Diamond Shield for the Deanship of Community Service, the General Administration of Public Relations, the Gold Shield for the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies, the General Administration of Movement and Transportation, the Silver Shield for the Deanship of Scientific Research, the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, the General Administration of Maintenance and Services, the Bronze Shield for the Deanship of Student Affairs, and the Rising Shield for the Center for Sustainable Development.
