Lecture on e-learning in the medical field in light of the coronavirus pandemic

 The University, represented by the College of Medicine, held a scientific lecture yesterday evening, Tuesday, 21/8/1441 AH, entitled "E-Learning in Medical Education in Light of the Coronavirus Pandemic: Concepts and Options" presented by the Dean of the College, Dr. Ahmed Al-Amrou, in the presence of about 300 faculty members, during which he discussed concepts, possible options, changes after the pandemic, and recommendations for dealing with e-learning in medical education.

 

The lecture began with an explanation of comprehensive definitions of e-learning, in addition to examples of e-learning methods that can be applied, including Blackboard and virtual halls, with examples of them, after which the lecture addressed the effects of the Corona pandemic, including the number of schools that were closed in the world, and university education. 

 

The lecture also touched on the published research in e-learning in the field of medical education. The lecturer gave the attendees the opportunity to share their experiences in their health colleges and opened the door for interventions, and a number of college deans and faculty members participated.

 

At the end of the lecture, Al-Amrou gave advice to the participants, including training faculty members in medical education and how to facilitate the process of medical education in e-learning.
