Qassim University Vice President honors the winners of the Seventh Scientific Excellence Awards

The Vice President of Qassim University for Educational Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Thami, honored the winners of the Scientific Excellence Awards for the seventh year (1435 AH - 2014 AD). The event was organized by the Deanship of Scientific Research, represented by the Secretariat of Scientific Excellence Awards, in Hall (A) of the University Administration Building.,

For his part, the Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Mohsen Al-Muhsen, congratulated the winners of the scientific excellence awards, emphasizing that the field of scientific research needs encouragement and motivation from everyone. He affirmed that the university has more than 20 centers and added that they hope for the expansion of specialized scientific research centers and the dissemination of their culture among society, stressing that the awards presented by the university are a form of motivation and encouragement for faculty members, wishing everyone success.

Then, the Vice Dean, Dr. Ahmed Al-Harkan, announced the winners and distributed the awards. Dr. Ayad Assaf Muqbil Al-Anzi, Assistant Professor in the Fiqh Department at the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, received the award for distinguished research in theoretical sciences for his paper titled "Zakat of the Creditor and its Contemporary Applications.".

 

The Distinguished Research Award in Applied Sciences was awarded to Dr. Ola Mahmoud Farghaly, Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at the College of Medicine, for her study titled "The Future Prognostic Value of the Emergence of Chemotherapy Resistance Protein Expression in Breast Cancer." .

Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Sabeel, a professor in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, received the Best Researcher Award in Applied Sciences for his scientific work over the past three years. .

Dr. Amal Saleh Al-Sharida, Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at the College of Education, received the award for the best doctoral dissertation in theoretical sciences and the best doctoral dissertation awarded by the university in the field of applied sciences. Her dissertation was titled "The Effect of Working Memory Capacity and Information Processing Level on Reading Comprehension Among Fifth-Grade Male and Female Students in Al-Qassim.".

Professor Maha Ahmed Shaher Al-Rifai from the Department of Sociology and Social Work won the Best Master's Thesis in Theoretical Sciences for her research titled "Contributions of Saudi Women to Volunteer Work and its Relationship to Citizenship.".

For his part, the Deanship of Scientific Research honored its former dean, Dr. Yousef Al-Saleem, with the university's shield and presented him with a certificate of appreciation for his contributions to the Deanship and the secretariat of the Excellence Awards over the past years. Dr. Ahmed Al-Turki, Director of the Center for Biological Control and Agricultural Information, also presented Dr. Al-Saleem with a shield in recognition of his distinguished efforts in scientific research.
