Qassim University continued its distinguished presence in scientific events by achieving two golden feathers at the Fifth Scientific Conference for Higher Education Students, held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Riyadh, with the participation of all Saudi universities. The university secured two golden feathers: student Imad Al-Suwereer in the field of Human Sciences, and student Mariam Al-Mutairi in the field of Community Service, in addition to several other awards. .
The university won 17 out of 30 awards, which is the total number of Al-Qassim Youth Excellence Awards, sponsored by the Prince of Al-Qassim region at the Emirate's diwan headquarters in the city of Buraidah. The winners were honored with commemorative shields and cash prizes totaling one million riyals.
The university recorded its active presence, extending its excellence in various events and participations hosted by the region and the Kingdom in general, in addition to its excellence in Arab, regional, and international forums.
His Excellency the University President, Professor Dr. Khaled bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammoudi, expressed his happiness with these achievements that the university is proud of. He affirmed that this is a continuation of the university's presence and its honorable positive participation in various scientific, cultural, and creative events and activities. He congratulated his male and female students, wishing them further success and brilliance.
His Excellency pointed out that the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for the march of higher education has contributed to highlighting these student talents through the generous patronage of all events and activities that bring Saudi universities together. He praised the support of His Royal Highness the Prince of the region and his Deputy for the university's progress, and expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education for his interest in meaningful events that highlight students' capabilities and nurture their talents.
For his part, the Dean of Student Affairs at the university, Dr. Khaled bin Abdulaziz Al-Sharideh, congratulated the male and female students on these achievements, which were accomplished in a matter of days, emphasizing that these accomplishments are a cause for pride and admiration for this elite group of male and female students.
