UQU Research Chairs Sign Contracts for 16 Research Grants in Prophetic Biography and Shari'a Studies

The Chair of Sheikh Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Rashed Al-Humaid for the Service of the Prophetic Biography at the university signed, on the day before last, Tuesday corresponding to 8/3/1441 AH, contracts for 13 research grants with a number of distinguished researchers from within the university and from various Saudi and Arab universities, at the university city headquarters, in the presence of the Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Turki, and the Secretary of the Research Chairs, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Muhaymid.

For his part, Dr. Ghanem bin Abdullah Al-Ghanem, supervisor of the Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen Chair for Sharia Studies, signed three research grants in areas that serve the chair's objectives. These include caring for the scientific heritage of Sheikh Muhammad bin Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him, and supporting scientific research programs. The Scientific Committee of the chair also approved a research grant titled: “Feasibility Study for Compiling a Lexicon of Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen's Sciences, may Allah have mercy on him, and its Mechanisms,” for Dr. Attia Mukhtar Attia Hussein, Associate Professor at Najran University. Another research grant titled: “Mistakes of Those Seeking Fatwas: Manifestations and Treatment: An Exploratory and Foundational Study” was approved for Professor Dr. Waleed bin Ali Al-Hussein, Professor in the Department of Usul Al-Fiqh at the university. He will be joined by Dr. Abdel Halim Muhammad Suleiman, Assistant Professor in the Department of Usul Al-Fiqh at the university.
