The College of Arabic Language and Social Studies at the University held a scientific meeting with Dr. Abdullah Al-Musnad, professor of climatology in the Geography Department at the university. The meeting was titled «The Ascension Journey: Reflections on Speed and Distance» and took place in the college's scientific discussion hall yesterday, Wednesday, 9/3/1441 AH, as part of the university's enrichment program.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Musnad spoke about the story of Al-Mi'raj from a different perspective chosen by the doctor, and perhaps for the first time, he approached it through the outputs of astronomy. He raised a question about the speed of the Al-Mi'raj journey and answered this question through a series of illustrated digital information about the kingdom of God in heaven, through which he took the attendees on a spiritual space tourism journey in the kingdom of God. The lecture was described by those present as speaking about the oneness of Lordship before it was in the field of astronomy.
The meeting aimed to encourage attendees to actively engage in contemplation, reflection, and meditation on God's creation in the heavens through a series of modern scientific findings presented visually, documented innovatively, and in a way that is easy to understand and impactful for the audience.
