Qassim University renewed its service contract with Huazhong Agricultural University in China. The contract was signed on behalf of the University President, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Wasil, by the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. On the Chinese side, the contract was signed by the University President, Prof. Dr. Ding Xuxing, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Aba Al-Khail, Supervisor of International Cooperation, Dr. Khalid Al-Harbi, Dean of the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sahim, Vice Dean of the College, and a number of Huazhong University staff.
The two sides discussed prospects for cooperation between the universities and important issues in the agricultural sector of both countries, as well as ways to leverage this strong relationship to develop the research, scientific, and academic aspects of the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine.
For his part, Dr. Al-Wasel emphasized the importance of activating this contract and preparing a timeline for the activities and programs to be implemented during the specified two-year contract period. He pointed out that the university is interested in activating international cooperation with prominent, esteemed universities in various medical, engineering, agricultural, and other fields, and wished that this agreement would achieve its intended goals.
The supervisor of international cooperation at the university, Dr. Abdulrahman Abalkhail, confirmed that the depth of cooperation and interaction between the two universities in the first version of the agreement encouraged the renewal of cooperation between them. He stressed that cooperation with distinguished universities in various fields will bring the university many benefits that will develop academic, research, and scientific aspects. He praised the president of the university and the university's vice presidents for their support of the international cooperation process, pointing out that the cooperation between the two universities includes holding training workshops, providing opportunities for university students to complete their postgraduate studies at Huazhong University, activating the student exchange program between the two universities, and conducting joint scientific research. .
It is noted that the university delegation reviewed a number of research centers within Huazhong University and also visited the Saudi Cultural Attaché in Beijing, where they met Cultural Attaché Dr. Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Qasoomi and a number of the attaché's staff discussed the conditions of scholarship students and ways to The cultural attaché is communicating with Chinese universities to strengthen academic relations and explore how to leverage them for academic, scientific, and research benefits.
