Description:
The Master of Veterinary Medicine is one of the oldest programs at the university, as the study began in 1422/1423 A.H. through two tracks: Laboratory Diagnostics and Clinical Sciences, and the department has qualified large numbers of specialists from inside and outside the Kingdom in these disciplines. The department also developed a master's program, which was approved by the university in the academic year 1435-1436 A.H. to include 4 programs: (Master of Science in Veterinary Basic Sciences, Master of Science in Laboratory Diagnostics, Master of Science in Preventive Medicine, and Master of Science in Veterinary Clinical Sciences). Studies in these programs began in the academic year 1437-1438 AH. In light of the new developments in the field of university education in the Kingdom, the new university system and the requirement to provide self-financing sources for universities, the veterinary medicine program considered restructuring its master's programs in accordance with the university's requirements in the number of admissions to study the master's degree in veterinary medicine. Based on the data of the accurate diagnosis of the current situation, the department developed the master's program in the form of restructuring it in 1444 AH to be called "Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine" and includes 4 tracks.
