An Overview

The Department of Clinical Sciences is concerned with teaching and developing clinical knowledge and skills for students of the College of Veterinary Medicine, by providing high-quality applied education in the fields of obstetrics and reproduction, clinical medicine, surgery, anesthesia, medical imaging, laboratory analysis, and advanced diagnostics. The department also contributes to providing specialized veterinary services to the community and implementing applied research that contributes to the development of veterinary practices, especially those related to the local environment, especially the health and production of camels, ruminants, horses, and pets.

Objectives :

1. Preparing scientifically and skillfully qualified veterinary cadres in the fields of obstetrics and reproduction, clinical medicine, infectious diseases, surgery, anesthesia, medical imaging, laboratory analysis, and advanced diagnostics, capable of meeting the needs of the labor market and community service.
2. Develop students' skills in clinical examination, diagnosis, and treatment through advanced hands-on programs within the University Veterinary Hospital and field partnerships.
3. Supporting applied scientific research in the fields of obstetrics and reproduction, clinical medicine, infectious diseases, surgery, anesthesia, medical imaging, laboratory analysis, and advanced diagnostics to address common health issues in farm animals, especially camels.
4. Providing distinguished veterinary services to the community in the fields of animal reproduction, clinical medicine, infectious diseases, surgery, anesthesia, medical imaging, laboratory analysis, and advanced diagnostics, and enhancing the role of the department in health awareness and prevention of animal diseases.
5. Strengthening cooperation with research and service institutions to exchange knowledge and expertise and raise the efficiency of clinical work.
