Mission
Old accredited educational and professional programs, applied research, and veterinary consulting services in the field of biomedical sciences to contribute to sustainable livestock development, in an environment that stimulates governance, innovation, and partnership.
Overview
The Department of Biomedical Sciences is one of the four departments of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Qassim University, which was established based on the decision of the Council of University Affairs No. (24/19/45) in 1445 AH corresponding to 2024 AD. The department is dedicated to providing high quality education to bachelor's and master's students through experienced faculty members in the disciplines of anatomy, embryology, histology, physiology, pharmacology and toxicology, biochemistry, and genetics, according to the college's curricula. The department plays a pivotal role in supporting the educational and research process and serving the community through advanced teaching methods and applied research using the latest laboratory technologies, while supporting innovation and partnership in the field of biomedical sciences at the local and international levels
Objectives :
1. Provide educational programs in the field of biomedical sciences that contribute to the merit, competitiveness and professionalism of students.
2. Contribute to providing veterinary professionals capable of linking medical, applied and clinical sciences.
3. Stimulating and developing research activity in the fields of biomedical sciences to meet the requirements of sustainable development.
4. Group interaction between faculty, staff, and students.
5. Continuous improvement of teaching and learning efficiency.
6. Providing and sharing modern technologies in teaching and learning.
7. Contribute to strengthening partnerships and knowledge exchange, nationally and internationally.
