Overview
The Department of Pharmacy Practice aims to provide students in the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program with the latest knowledge and skills needed to practice pharmacy in various professional fields. This includes providing direct pharmaceutical care to patients and pharmaceutical services in medical cities, hospitals and community pharmacies, as well as other tracks and fields in pharmacy such as regulatory affairs, scientific offices of pharmaceutical companies, pharmaceutical marketing, drug and toxicology centers, and other fields. The department offers a number of specialized courses in pharmacy practice, including foundations of pharmacy practice, evidence-based practice, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, non-prescription drugs, regulations related to the practice of health professions and pharmacy, clinical pharmacokinetics, pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacy informatics, and other sciences and fields that fall under the department. The department includes an elite group of faculty members and lecturers who are qualified with modern teaching skills and methods, have academic, professional and clinical experience, and have scientific research in prestigious peer-reviewed journals.

Educational goals:
1- Providing students with basic and advanced knowledge in various areas of pharmacy practice, including direct pharmaceutical care for patients and pharmaceutical services in hospitals, medical cities, and community pharmacies.
2- Qualifying students to acquire the professional skills needed to work in various paths within the pharmacy profession, such as regulatory affairs, pharmaceutical marketing, scientific offices of pharmaceutical companies, drug and toxicology centers, and other related fields.
3- Developing students' abilities to provide pharmaceutical care based on scientific evidence, while enhancing research skills and critical evaluation of scientific studies relevant to pharmaceutical practice.
4- Developing students' skills in dealing with pharmaceutical information and using modern information systems to support pharmaceutical practice and improve the quality of health care.
5- Enhancing students' understanding of pharmacoeconomics and pharmacoepidemiology concepts to support optimal treatment decisions based on cost-benefit analysis.
6- Preparing students to understand the professional laws and regulations associated with practicing the profession of pharmacy and practicing it within the approved legal and ethical framework.
7- Developing students' applied clinical skills through the study of specialized courses such as pharmacotherapy and clinical pharmacokinetics, qualifying them to provide effective and safe pharmaceutical care.
8- Enabling students to work in multidisciplinary healthcare teams and actively contribute to improving the outcomes of drug therapy.
