Description:
The Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Technologies program was established in the academic year 1438 AH, to be the first doctoral program specialized in educational technologies at the level of the Kingdom, where the program is offered in the form of courses in addition to a scientific thesis submitted to obtain a doctoral degree. The mission of the program is to "provide academically accredited technical education and prepare distinguished scientific and research competencies in the fields of educational technologies, to meet the requirements of development and the needs of educational and training institutions, according to the best scientific standards, using the latest scientific and technical methods available." 1. Providing a new vision in educational technology studies, based on the use of the latest technologies in teaching, distance learning, and e-learning systems.
2. Provide the necessary knowledge to qualify students scientifically and practically in the fields of educational technologies.
3. Preparing specialized scientific and professional cadres, and highly qualified, in the applied fields of educational technology.
4. Encouraging scientific competencies to keep pace with the rapid progress of science and technology, pushing them to creativity and innovation, and developing and directing scientific research to address the issues of educational and training environments and the needs of human development in Saudi society.
5. Studying educational issues and phenomena in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and developing solutions for them.
6. Preparing competencies capable of interacting with the requirements of educational environments, ensuring the sustainability of its outputs, to achieve the service of the Saudi society in the present and future.
7. Provide the opportunity for students with a master's degree to complete their studies and obtain a doctoral degree in educational technologies.
