The Department of Economics was established in 1402 AH. Since its inception, the department has been dedicated to graduating economic competencies required by the job market by equipping students with fundamental knowledge in economic sciences. The department also endeavors to enrich knowledge through conducting field research that serves the economic environment in the Kingdom, and by developing and updating curricula to keep pace with scientific advancements in the field of economic sciences. The department offers students the opportunity to specialize in economics. The specialization aims to provide students with modern fundamental concepts in economic fields and develop the analytical skills necessary for sound economic decision-making. The economics specialization focuses on equipping students with essential tools for economic analysis, with intensive applications in computer usage and quantitative methods for economic analysis and forecasting. Graduates will acquire a broad background of economic knowledge that qualifies them, including.
