Master of Science in Human Nutrition
Description:
The Master of Science in Human Nutrition program at the College of Agriculture and Food Sciences, Qassim University, aims to prepare specialized human nutrition cadres to contribute to the planning and monitoring of various nutritional programs in the Kingdom. The program provides graduates with the opportunity to pursue advanced studies in human nutrition, address the academic deficit in this field within the Kingdom, and work towards identifying nutritional problems faced by Saudi society in general, and the Qassim region in particular, such as obesity, diabetes, heart and kidney diseases, hypertension, and others, and to find solutions for them. Students in the program study a number of courses (30 credit hours) in addition to submitting a thesis (6 credit hours).

Program goals :
1- Preparing specialized technical staff in the field of human nutrition to contribute to the planning and monitoring of various nutritional programs in the Kingdom.
2- Encouraging scientific research in various human nutrition disciplines to conduct academic and applied research and provide appropriate solutions to technical problems in this field.
3- Providing an opportunity for bachelor's graduates to complete their postgraduate studies in the field of human nutrition and cover the academic shortage in this aspect in the Kingdom.
Raising awareness in Saudi society about the role of human nutrition in supporting health and preventing disease.
5. Conduct a nutritional survey to identify nutritional problems faced by Saudi society in general and the Qassim region in particular, such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, hypertension, and others, and to find solutions for them.
