Qassim University launches the fifth annual peoples' heritage festival events.

The festivities of the «Peoples» Heritage" festival kicked off yesterday evening, Sunday, April 26, 2026, in its fifth edition. The festival is organized by Qassim University under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region. It will run for 6 days at the King Khalid Cultural Center in Buraidah, with the participation of several entities and more than 90 nationalities from various countries around the world.

The festival aims to highlight the cultural diversity among peoples, promote knowledge and civilizational exchange, and present interactive experiences that reflect popular customs, traditions, and arts. It also seeks to introduce human heritage in an atmosphere that fosters closeness and understanding between different cultures.

The festival includes international pavilions, the Saudi pavilion, and pavilions about the First, Second, and Third Saudi States. It also features participation from 5 different entities and various exhibitions showcasing the cultural and heritage aspects of each country. Additionally, there will be folklore performances, performing arts by different peoples, and accompanying events including a cooking day, a coffee day, and a tea day. There will also be handicrafts, traditional foods, a children's theater, a classic car exhibition, live taxidermy, and hawks, as well as interactive activities targeting different segments of society.

The festival's organization is part of the university's efforts to support cultural and societal momentum, providing interactive platforms that contribute to enhancing visitors' cultural awareness, and highlighting the university's role in building bridges of civilizational communication, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in enhancing quality of life and cultural openness.
