The University, represented by the College of Computing, signs a memorandum of understanding with Huawei Tech at the LEAP 2026 conference

Qassim University, represented by the College of Computer Science, and Huawei Tech signed an agreement to cooperate in the field of training and talent development during their participation in the LEAP 2026 conference on Monday, August 31, 2026. The signing took place in the presence of Dr. Fahd bin Suleiman Al-Ahmad, Vice President for Educational Affairs at the University, and Mr. Liam Zhao, Chairman of Huawei Saudi Arabia, at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center.

The university was represented in signing the agreement by the Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, Professor Dr. Sulaiman bin Abdullah Al-Suhaibani, and Mr. Wu Han, Executive Vice President of Huawei. This aims to provide training on a set of programs, namely: cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and data communication network fundamentals, as well as participation in events targeting technical development and employment, such as the Huawei ICT Competition, Huawei Seeds for the Future, and the Huawei ICT Academy.
 
The memorandum also aims to achieve fruitful cooperation and work on joint activities in developing local talent, cooperating in the field of human resources development in cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and data communication network infrastructure, providing training programs according to the required training needs, and providing vouchers for top achievers to obtain HCIA certifications.
