The University of Qassim, represented by the Medical City, hosted the workshop organized by the University Hospitals Program, affiliated with the Council of University Affairs. The workshop was held today, Wednesday, April 8, 2026, under the chairmanship of His Excellency the CEO of the University Hospitals Program, Professor Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Rebeesh, under the title «Institutional Transformation of University Hospitals,» at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center.
The workshop was attended by leaders of healthcare providers, with the participation of seven leaders from university cities and medical hospitals in the Kingdom, in addition to more than 30 participants from specialized working teams who discussed the workshop's themes.
The workshop aimed to lay the foundations for the institutional transformation of university hospitals in line with the objectives of the transformation in the health sector in the Kingdom, and to contribute to raising the efficiency and quality of health services.
The workshop concluded with a field trip for His Excellency the CEO of the program and the leaders of health facilities to the university's medical city facilities and departments. During the trip, attendees learned about the most prominent capabilities and equipment, in an effort to exchange experiences and enhance cooperation opportunities between university hospitals in the Kingdom.
