UQU President launches a package of digital programs, applications and initiatives

His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharikh, during his patronage of the Digital Transformation Forum, organized by the Deanship of E-learning and Information Technology, launched a number of digital programs, applications, and initiatives today, in the presence of the University Vice Presidents, at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center in the university city.

where 10 digital initiatives were launched, most notably the Qassim University App (MYQu), a smart device application that supports the management and delivery of academic and administrative services, allowing access to university services within a unified digital environment.

His Excellency also inaugurated the new version of the university's website, which aims to improve access to information and digital services, highlight institutional content, news, and achievements, and align the university's digital identity with government standards.

The digital services platform was also launched, which is a unified platform that brings together academic and administrative services, enabling beneficiaries to submit and track requests electronically within an integrated digital experience. In addition to the launch of the QSpark platform, and the launch of the Namaa Investment Platform, which is an investment training platform offering free and paid training programs and courses, and allows access to local and international programs, in addition to providing educational and technical consultations.

The Class Insight platform was also launched, a specialized technology platform for collecting and analyzing performance data within virtual classrooms, and providing accurate reports on attendance and interaction; to support academic supervision and improve the quality of the educational process.

His Excellency launched self-training initiatives, which are educational initiatives that provide specialized training programs and pathways from global platforms, within a flexible and sustainable learning model, through more than 14 training pathways, and more than 100 training programs, for more than 9,000 beneficiaries, and include more than 4,000 educational licenses.

The educational studios were launched, an integrated environment for producing digital educational content, including studios for video recording, live streaming, podcasts, and audio.

On the administrative side, the appointments system was launched, an electronic system for managing faculty appointment applications, encompassing the stages of submission, review, and committee evaluation, leading to the issuance of the final decision. In addition, the promotions system was launched, an electronic system for managing faculty promotion applications, starting from submission, through academic committees and scientific arbitration, and ending with the approval of results.

This comes as part of the university's efforts to enhance digital transformation, improve institutional performance efficiency, and enhance the quality of educational and administrative services, in line with the goals of national digital transformation.
