University scouts are participating with two student teams in serving the guests of God in the holy sites during this year's Hajj season, 1439 AH. The university has prepared for a distinguished participation this year by selecting participating students early and holding the necessary training courses for them, which will help them serve the pilgrims and offer them assistance easily and smoothly with their colleagues from other universities.
Dr. Ali Al-Aqla', Dean of Student Affairs, explained that the Al-Jawalh (scout) teams from Qassim University regularly participate in this religious and national duty through the university's Al-Jawalh and the volunteer scouting team in the Qassim region. He pointed out that the university's Al-Jawalh headquarters has been fully equipped to help students perform their duties as required. Tasks have also been assigned to students periodically through a regular work schedule.
The "wise ones" pointed out that the university's boy scouts' participation in fulfilling this religious and national duty for the guests of God, pilgrims and visitors for Umrah, stems from the university's keenness to contribute to all occasions held in our dear homeland. This is with the support and guidance of His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, the university's president. The university participated in serving Umrah pilgrims during the blessed month of Ramadan, and is now participating in serving the pilgrims of the Grand Mosque.
The participation of the nation's youth from all universities, institutions, and educational bodies helps foster a spirit of belonging and loyalty to this giving nation, especially during the Hajj season when the eyes of the entire Islamic world turn to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its capabilities, and its excellence in managing and organizing these large numbers of pilgrims coming to perform Hajj rituals from all corners of the earth.
