In the presence of His Excellency Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, the Quality in Higher Education Forum witnessed the announcement of the names of universities, accredited colleges and academic programs that received accreditation certificates during sessions (6) and (7), as three additional programs at the university obtained academic accreditation from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, which aims to support the quality of post-secondary education and training institutions and their programs, and evaluate and accredit them through an objective and transparent system and procedures, to gain the confidence of the local and international community in the outputs of these institutions and their programs.
The accredited programs included the Doctor of Pharmacy program of the College of Pharmacy in Al-Malida, which is the first governmental pharmacy college in the Kingdom to receive this full accreditation until 2025, and the first pharmacy college in the Kingdom to combine the US international accreditation with the national accreditation of the Doctor of Pharmacy program.
The College of Designs also received accreditation for the fashion design program, while the College of Applied Health Sciences in Al-Ris received national accreditation for the therapeutic nutrition program until 2022.
This achievement comes as a result of the university's continuous endeavor to develop its educational outputs, as the university makes great efforts to raise the level of its graduates to provide distinguished competencies for the Saudi labor market that can contribute to the realization of the Kingdom's ambitious vision towards more prosperity and progress for our beloved country.
It is noteworthy that the university is the third university in the Kingdom to obtain national academic accreditation, after it obtained institutional accreditation in 2013, and obtained programmatic academic accreditation for several disciplines, including medicine and surgery, oral medicine and surgery, animal production and husbandry, food science and human nutrition, veterinary medicine, in addition to public health and optometry programs.
The university was also able to obtain several international accreditations for a number of its colleges, including the College of Computing, College of Engineering, College of Economics and Management, College of Pharmacy, College of Medicine, College of Science, and Buraidah Community College, in addition to concluding several partnership and cooperation agreements with several universities and research centers in several fields, including MSU, China University of International Economics and Trade, Durham University, British University, China Shijian Medical University, Stanford University, China Huazhang Agricultural University, Maastricht Netherlands, Beijing Health University in China, and Leid University in Australia.
