Qassim University President honors scientific excellence winners

His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Prof. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamoudi, honored the winners of the Scientific Excellence Awards for the sixth year (1433 A.H. - 2012 A.D.), which was organized by the Deanship of Scientific Research, represented by the Scientific Excellence Awards Secretariat, on Tuesday, 13/6/1434 A.H. in the Ballroom (A) of the University Administration Building in the presence of university vice presidents, deans and faculty members. the ceremony started with verses from the wise mention, then His Excellency Prof.Dr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Salim, Dean of Scientific Research and Secretary General of the Excellence Awards, delivered a speech in which he mentioned that the award went through many stages since it was an idea until it became a concrete reality, and that the nomination was announced to grant scientific excellence awards in nine different fields. After the initial examination, the committee excluded the research that did not meet the conditions and criteria for nomination, and that referees were used from all continents of the world, then Dr. Walid bin Ibrahim Al-Abiki, Vice Dean for Scientific Research, announced the winners and distributed the prizes where the distinguished research award in the field of theoretical sciences won by Dr. Abdullah Abdulrahman Al-Missned Professor in the field of theoretical sciences. Dr. Alaa Salah Abdul Hamid Ibrahim, Associate Professor at the Department of Scientific Materials Unit at the Deanship of Educational Services, and Dr. Ahmed Fathi Mohammed Ahmed, Associate Professor at the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, and Areej Ali Hamad Al-Mudayyan at the Department of Geography, College of Arabic Language and Social Studies, received the Excellence Award for the best master's thesis awarded by the university in theoretical sciences, and Mohammed Abdulrahman Qasim Al-Dakhil, Department of Plant Production and Protection at the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, received the Excellence Award for the best MAG thesis. Dr. Walid bin Ibrahim Al-Obayki explained that the distinguished department award and the distinguished researcher award were withheld in the fields of theoretical sciences and applied sciences, as those submitted works did not rise to the level of the award, and the excellence award for the best doctoral thesis awarded by the university in the field of applied sciences, as no one applied for it.
