The College of Medicine and Health Sciences in Unaizah celebrates Gulf Nursing Day

The College of Medicine and Medical Sciences at Unaizah celebrated Gulf Nursing Day on March 13th with a variety of events, including an awareness lecture and a supporting exhibition titled "Nursing: Comprehensive and Continuous Care.".

The celebration included a speech program that began with verses from the Holy Quran. Then, Professor Wijdān Al-Ayad gave an introductory speech before Dr. Amoura Al-Buhairi, Head of the Nursing Department, began her lecture, which highlighted nursing and its noble profession. Following that, a group of students presented a performance clarifying the importance of nursing in serving the community. Afterward, Professor Dalal Al-Mutairi conducted an open interview with Professor Munira Al-Dubayan, head of training at King Saud Hospital, about the successes of nursing in the Kingdom. .

At the end of the ceremony, outstanding graduates from the college were honored, then the attendees proceeded to the exhibition organized by Nabawiya Hosni, Amal Al-Zoubi, Ibtsam Al-Dessouki, Dalal Al-Mutairi, and Mona Al-Bassam. The exhibition included several sections: a children's section, a first aid section, an internal medicine section, a chest allergy section, a blood sugar measurement section, and the Lady Rufaida Nursing Tent for herbal remedies, among others.

King Saud Hospital in Unaizah, Al-Badae' Hospital, Al-Rass General Hospital, Al-Mithnib General Hospital, Al-Bukayriyah General Hospital, Al-Shifa Hospital (Home Health Care), Al-Hilaliyah Hospital, West Unaizah Health Center, Al-Salehiyyah Clinic, Al-Sulaimaniyyah Clinic, Airport Health Center, Health Unit, King Fahd Specialized Hospital in Buraidah, Buraidah Mental Health Hospital, Nursing Administration in Buraidah, and the Charitable Society for Orphaned Children in Unaizah participated in this health event.

The College Vice Dean and supervisor of the ceremony, Professor Zainab Al-Weshmi, and the supervisor of the exhibition, Professor Iman Al-Shammari, expressed their thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of this celebration, which the college sought to highlight in an effort to shed light on the noble nursing profession. They also extended their special thanks to the work team (Abeer Al-Shoushan – Nouha Al-Khalaf – Reham Al-Shibl – Huda Al-Ayad) for their efforts in preparing for this health event.
