The College of Nursing at Qassim University, in cooperation with Buraidah Central Hospital, held an introductory meeting on the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties exam for practicing the nursing profession, as part of the college's internship students' program, which benefited more than 130 students, to qualify them to pass the exam, which is one of the basic requirements for professional classification and registration to practice medical professions in the Kingdom.
Dr. Mustafa Budrik, Nursing Education Consultant at KDIPA, and Dr. Khalid Al-Husais, provided a detailed explanation of the importance of this exam, how to prepare for it, and the need to have the knowledge and ability to pass it, in order to develop the nursing profession and raise the efficiency of the cadres working in it to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and within the strategic plan of the Authority, which aims to raise the efficiency of the health sector to benefit the community and the patient.
Established in the 2009/2010 academic year, the College of Nursing is the first nursing college in Saudi Arabia to adopt a solution-based education approach with a focus on ensuring that graduates achieve holistic professionalism on the scale of individuals, families, groups and communities to enhance health services provided to citizens.
