His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, inaugurated the Social Media Club at Qassim University, where His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, presented the first honorary membership of the club to His Royal Highness in recognition of his efforts in supporting media and media professionals active in social media among the youth and his continuous and continuous interaction with all university activities and events.

Al-Dawood explained that the mission of the Social Media Club aims primarily to instill values and community media ethics in the individual in his interaction with modern media through the programs and initiatives that the club will offer.

He pointed out that the club aspires to reach professionalism and excellence by providing quality services and programs in the field of digital media, and the club aims to keep abreast of the latest developments in the media that rely on the Internet and its interactive applications.

The club seeks to attract all activists and influencers in the field of social media, whether in the region or abroad, to develop their media skills, in line with media policies, in addition to providing quality media services in social networks, raising awareness and education about media regulations in the electronic field, holding introductory exhibitions and contributing to the development of publishing ethics in social media.

The club includes a number of honorary memberships, which are granted to influencers in the field of social media, legal entities, active members with effective content in social media, in addition to members who benefit from the club's services and activities, whether they are interested in digital content written in social media, production, photography and other media methods.

It is noteworthy that the UQU President announced the launch of the club's initiative during the weekly session of His Highness the Emir of Qassim at the Tawhid Palace in Buraidah, during the New Media Armies session organized by the Emirate of Qassim.
