Qassim University receives e-learning excellence award

Qassim University, represented by the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, received the "Excellence in E-Learning" award granted by Blackboard International during the "Blackboard for Education Leaders" forum organized by the company in Riyadh,
The award is one of the most important e-learning awards granted to university institutions at the regional level, and the awarding body is one of the best international companies leading in the field of e-learning. This recognition came as a culmination of the university's activity, support and support that contributed to the success of its program to activate e-learning and its applications at the university, until the number of active courses on the LMS reached (8809) courses, an achievement in the number of system users and active courses on the LMS during one academic year and in a short period after the launch of the LMS system, which is an achievement in the number of users of the system and the number of active courses on the LMS..
It is noteworthy that Qassim University and King Abdulaziz University were selected after the success of the two universities in e-learning at the level of the Kingdom for the year 2016. During the forum, the experience of Qassim University related to the e-learning management system was presented and the steps related to establishing the e-learning management system, building its components, achieving its stability, and providing the appropriate environment for its use and application were clarified. In addition to building a training plan on its use and spreading the culture of e-learning among the university affiliates, providing training on its use and building e-courses through the system and granting (3755) training certificates to university faculty members during one year, as well as building a training project for students to use the system and learn through it and start its pilot phase during the year (1436-1437 AH), as well as developing and building a number of e-courses through the LMS as a pilot phase, and applying the distance education system (developed affiliation) using the system for affiliation students at the university.
For his part, Dr. Saad bin Mubarak Al-Dosari, Dean of E-Learning and Education, appreciated the unlimited support of Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, UQU President, for the deanship in all its activities, stressing that this coronation motivates them to redouble their efforts and stimulates them to give more to provide an integrated e-learning environment that stimulates learning and supports performance.
